Yesterday, the Stop Mental Illness Foundation organized a significant event at First Choice College Lagos, where our esteemed CEO, Mrs. Oluseyi Elizabeth Odudimu, had the privilege of presenting on the pressing issues surrounding drug addiction and drug abuse among Nigerian youth. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with approximately 400 students, along with nearly 100 parents and teachers, in attendance.
We were delighted to see such a large and diverse audience gathered to address this crucial topic. Mrs. Oluseyi Elizabeth Odudimu delivered an impactful presentation, sharing valuable insights and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Nigerian youth regarding drug addiction and abuse.
The response from the attendees was nothing short of remarkable. We were thrilled to receive numerous comments and expressions of appreciation from both the students and the adults present. It was evident that the presentation had a profound impact on the audience, fostering understanding, compassion, and a commitment to addressing the issue at hand.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs Kafayat for her exceptional leadership and dedicated efforts in successfully organising and managing the event. Her unwavering commitment and meticulous planning played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s success and creating a conducive environment for learning and dialogue.
Events like these play a crucial role in creating awareness, breaking stigmas, and fostering a culture of open discussion about mental health and addiction issues. We are honored to have had the opportunity to contribute to this cause and make a positive impact on the lives of Nigerian youth.
Moving forward, the Stop Mental Illness Foundation remains committed to its mission of promoting mental health, providing support, and advocating for change.
